123rd ISNHS Founding Anniversary: Honoring the school history and achievements

A celebration to treasure and remembered. This yearly celebration of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) High School Day is a way of honoring the past, celebrating the present, and shaping the future. It is a day filled with excitement and unforgettable moments. Before the foundation day, the teachers, staff, especially students were busy preparing for this celebration. In that way we can also see the unity of the people in this school.

The practice about the field demo was a bit tiring but fulfilling. We can see the students were eagerly practicing even if they're under the sun. After the general practice, we went to the gym to support our classmate, Kristina Domingo and crowned as the Ms. ISNHS 2025 on the 21st day of March.

The 22nd day of March is the most awaited day of this celebration. The celebration started at 7:00 am by a costume parade along Vigan City and later on the main program was started. The boys at Grade 7-11 are the first to perform with different themes, and next is girls of Grade 7-11 also with different themes.

Lastly, to formally wrap up the program the students of ISNHS performed amazingly in Battle of the Bands. This celebration was truly unforgettable to each and every students of ISNHS. It made our last moment in Junior High School (JHS) that I will surely treasure forever and never forgotten.

End the discrimination, promote equality in our nation

Every now and then, women are always seen as someone who's vulnerable, weak, fragile, not able to fight for their rights, and a lot more. By that kind of mindset from the people around them, most women are afraid to speak up for themselves even if it is the only way to protect and voice out their rights. Years have passed they've always been so helpless against from other gender.

Now, it's time for us to change that kind of mindset and start to build up rights for women with the help of Women's Month Celebration and keep in mind about "Babae ka, hindi babae lang". In that way, we can recognize women and give them courage to fight for their rights in every aspect they do. Empowering them can help them to stand from those people who always want them down.

With regards to the theme "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society", is a theme emphasizing the shared responsibility of everyone, not only for women but also the other individuals regardless of gender or other characteristics, have equal rights, opportunities, and are free from any forms of discrimination.

Beyond the expectation

Upon entering the 4th quarter, some people was just a normal quarter for them. But days passed by, it was already sinking in my mind realising that this will also be the last quarter of being a Junior High. A part of me was sad with that thought but we can't control things with our hands. Still, I am truly grateful to the people who shaped us and helped us to where we are right now.

During the first quarter, it never crossed my mind that the lessons was just like that until the 4th quarter but there's still more than that. We were taught about the easiest way of creating Web page instead of coding that can give you a headache. Microsoft Frontpage is the best and easier way of doing Web Pages. At first, I thought it was also complicated just like coding. But because of our subject teacher and our practice teacher, Ma'am Charleen was there to guide us throughout our journey in finishing the task. With their help, we were able to create a unique web page on our own ideas.

On the other hand, challenges, problems, and struggles were always in the picture. I'm having a hard time in adjusting the size of the image I've inserted and working the hyperlinks. But with the help of our practice teacher and my classmates who guide me, the task become easy for me to finish.

Moving on, I will try my best to find time improving my weaknesses upon creating web page. Lastly, continue to explore more about using MS FrontPage because it can be an advantage in the future.

A dream I wanted to be

15 years from now, I can see myself as someone who's wearing a lab coat or scrub and stethoscope. But, I know that I'm still doing my very best to achieve the life I've wanted to. Most probably a type of person who's a workaholic and really committed to her dream work.

On the other hand, I know that achieving this kind of work wasn't that really easy and it takes time to fulfil. But, I can't see myself working or pushing another job other than being a Pediatrician. I can only see myself as someone who's providing parents with guidance and support on child development, parenting issues, and health concerns. Children are the ones who need to take good care because they seem so fragile and I'm afraid that someone will break them. Also, I know in the future that I'm a person who still dreamed beyond and living independently in other countries to explore entirely.

Lastly, whatever it takes in the future I still be thankful to what I've become and reached the things that are out of the plan instead of those things in my mind right. But still I'm hoping that these dreams I wanted to right now meant to be destined in my hands.
